Daily Itinerary

Max Alt: 2400m

You will be picked up from your hotel at 4:00 a.m. and transferred by private transport to the train station in Ollantaytambo, where you will board the 6:10 a.m. train. The journey follows the Urubamba River through the Sacred Valley, offering spectacular views of farmlands, snow-capped mountains, and one of the headwaters of the Amazon River.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, your guide will meet you at the train station and accompany you by shuttle bus to Machu Picchu. Once there, you will explore the famous Inca citadel, beginning with the best viewpoints before starting your guided tour.

Your 3-hour guided walking tour will take you through the most important sectors of Machu Picchu, including the Temple of the Sun, Royal Tomb, Intihuatana (Sun Dial), Main Plaza, Temple of the Three Windows, the Artisan Sector, and the Temple of the Condor, among others. After the tour, you will have free time to continue exploring at your own pace.

After your visit, take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes, where you can enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants. Please be sure to arrive at the train station at least 30 minutes before departure. The return train to Ollantaytambo takes just under 2 hours, where our private transport will be waiting to drive you back to Cusco (approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes).
